Archana Kapoor is the publisher of Hardnews, a Delhi-based monthly political magazine, which she co-founded after witnessing the plight of the poor and marginalised as a documentary filmmaker leads the SAVE India chapter.
She has filmed and produced more than 250 documentaries, and in 1997 founded Seeking Modern Applications for Real Transformation (SMART). SMART offers empowerment and literacy programs to women in northern India, and Archana is the Women without Borders representative in New Delhi, India.
Vinita Kamte's husband, Ashok Kamte, the Additional Commissioner of the Mumbai Police, was killed tragically by the last surviving terrorist during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. After her husband's death, Vinita was involved in a year-long campaign to find out the truth about the circumstances of his death, which led finally to the publication of the story in her book To the Last Bullet. She now works with the families of victims of the attacks and owns a petrol station which gives a livelihood to many women affected by the attacks.
Manju Singh is the founder of World Kids Foundation, which works closely with SAVE India to reach out to youth with messages of tolerance and intercultural understanding.
