Christmas and New Year Greetings

Dear friends of Women without Borders,

We are all looking forward to a pleasant and festive holiday period. While most of us are fortunate enough to enjoy these forthcoming days from the safety and comfort of our homes, for millions this may not be the case. Instead, their daily routines are likely to be overshadowed by the reality and fear of terrorist attacks. Increasingly, however, we too are feeling the resurgence of extremist violence, and fear and uncertainly is becoming ever more present in our everyday lives once again.
In light of the recent, rising tide of extremist activities, we must turn our attention to the areas that we can impact positively - most notably the youth. The new generation needs our full commitment, dedication, and attention. Neglecting the youth can have serious repercussions for all of us, as uprooted, disconnected individuals are likely to go down the wrong path, and as such tend also to be more susceptible to recruitment.
In 2015 we will pursue our focus on the youth by engaging with the mothers and fathers of those most at risk and cooperating closely with security experts and representatives of social and religious institutions.

Women without Borders change the world!
