Nadia Al-Sakkaf joined the Yemen Times in July 2000 as a translator and reporter, and was appointed assistant editor two months later. In 2005 Ms. Al-Sakkaf was employed as chief editor of the Yemen Times. One year later she was awarded the Gebran Tueni Award for Professional Media by the World Association of Newspapers and An-Nahar Newspaper in Lebanon.

Arshi Saleem Hashmi specializes in Religion and Politics of Violent Conflicts with special reference to South Asia. In 2000 Ms. Hashimi was awarded the Kodikara Research Award by the Regional Center for Strategic Studies (Colombo) in collaboration with the Ford Foundation, which resulted in a book titled ‘Conflict Transformation from Ethnic Movement to Terrorist Movement’.
