The Way Out! Women Know How

Mothers for Change! Train the Trainers Workshops Report

From May 24-30, 14 women from Pakistan, India, Yemen, Indonesia, Palestine, Israel, Somalia, Bosnia, and Northern Ireland came together in Carinthia, Austria for a week of workshops to learn how to implement Mothers for Change!, SAVE’s first global campaign. Over the course of the week, they learned about Storytelling strategies for political conflict resolution and reconciliation, exchanged best practice models, and developed short- and long-term implementation strategies for their chapters. Each woman will be working with a SAVE chapter in her country and collaborating with local organizations for effective outreach and implementation. By empowering women to challenge radical ideologies in their homes and communities, Mothers for Change! will have far-reaching and long-lasting implications for the capabilities of individuals and societies to prevent and respond to violent extremism.
